The Design Process
The design process outlined here is for typical web design projects. You can apply the same process to logo and print design projects as well. The design process can be summarized in 5 steps:
Step 1: Gathering information
Step 2: Pay Deposit
Step 3: Design Stage
Step 4: Pay balance upon completion
Step 5: Install website onto web hosting account
Step 1 ~ Gathering Information
The design process begins by gathering information to get a good idea about what you expect from your online presence. This information gathering begins with the Request a Quote form and through correspondence by e-mail or phone. We are looking to get a clear understanding of
- the purpose of your website
- your small business
- products and services
- your target audience
- features that will make your website as user-friendly as possibly
- your overall website requirements and solutions to fit your budget
Step 2 ~ PAY Deposit
On acceptance of the quote, half of the design fee is due before any design work can begin. The remainder of the design fee will be due upon completion of your design.
Step 3 ~ Design Stage
Once we have a clear understanding of what you expect, we will design a basic structure for your site, and a layout incorporating your existing business logo (if you have one) and colours, navigation buttons, text links, graphics and other elements you wish to include. This will give you the general look and feel of your site. Once you approve the basic structure, we will continue with the detailed design work and keep you posted on our progress.
Step 4 ~ Pay Balance
The remainder of the design fee will be due upon completion of your design before your website is published on the internet.
Step 5 ~ Install website onto web hosting account
Please note, JNM Web Creation Studio does not offer domain name registration or web hosting but we will gladly recommend available web hosting choices on request. However, we will upload your website to the web host of your choice.
